I love everything about Fall. After months of unrelenting heat, it's nice to watch leaves flutter to the ground and feel a cool breeze leading into the holidays. But what I truly love is being able to wear richer, more pigmented eye and lip colors. Autumn is all about your creams, browns, plums, jewel tones, and golds. This is one of my "everyday makeup" looks. Very light and natural, but still very warm and pretty.
For my eyes, I used the Wet & Wild Comfort Zone palette. BEST eyeshadow purchase you can get on the market for 4.99, I kid you not. It comes with eight shades of shimmering nudes, browns, and greens. Impressive color payoff and equally impressive lasting power. I normally don't use this brand but they definitely stepped their game up over the years. A simple winged eyeliner and one coat of mascara. Done. To even out my complexion I use All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation from the Covergirl Queen Collection in "Amber Glow." It's a beautiful caramel brown that provides light, buildable coverage. I couldn't find this shade anywhere so I ordered it from Drugstore.com. For my cheeks, I used the E.L.F. blush pallete in Dark, ordered from their website. I'm photographed wearing the lightest shade in that palette which is a peachy mauve. And on my lips I've used NYX liner in Cappuccino with Revlon lipstick in Iced Mocha. I wear my hair down about 80% of the time in loose messy waves, but today I decided to take a walk on the wild side (sarcasm) and throw a cute little braid in there :)
Are you changing up your look this Fall?
